Welcome to Finding PoeticsWelcome to the Poetry unit for English Fundamentals! In this part of our course, you will be learning about poetry. This will be done at an individual pace throughout the next two weeks. I will be available to help during class at any point.
This unit consist of 3 parts that will take you through learning about poetry to writing your own. By the end of the unit you will have an understanding of poetic devices and be able to write original poetry in different styles of poems. Lesson One will go over the terms you need for understanding poetry. Lesson Two will have you explore nine different types of poetry at varying levels of difficulty. Lesson Three will tie all of your work together in creating a classroom anthology of poetry. You will be asked to share three of the poems that you have written for lesson two. |
